We spent alot of time trying to find the closest true strain of Red Golden we could find . These are F2 stock of Red Golden pheasants. Hopefully we will get eggs from my hens this year with these 2 new males. They have vibrate coloring and long tails. Both are still a little unsettled so hopefully by the end of this year they will be like our other more domesticated pheasant we have .
Red Golden Pheasant
Our First trio we acquired was from a Gentleman in Ravenna we were very happy to bring in these birds in.They came form Stock from the Sandiego Zoo. Great looking bird excellant coloration and he is a very easy going bird. We hatched alot of offspring from him this year and actually kept most of the hens and one male offsping and brought in another male from Canada (a long drive for us) but worth it. We brought this male in to pair up with the offspring we hatched.
Pictured is our original male. "Franklin"
Lady Amherst Pheasant
These are my Yellow Goldens one Male is carrying a yellow nape. My other 2 males are Golden in there coloration. I am very anxious to see if this male is going to carry over his yellow nape. This bird is a very tame bird and is very curious to what I am doing all the time. On many occasions he has came right up to my feet to check me out . by no means is this a flighty bird. he was hatched out of the original male we have pictured to the side.
All of our yellows have nice feet and correct coloration.

For more Ruffed Pheasants
Dark Throat,Cinn,Cinn Splash.
All of the birds below are classifieds as Ruffed Pheasants. The Red and Lady Amherst pheasant were the true 2 types of Ruffed pheasants from there mutations were produced.
This first page has the more mainstream pheasant you see. Reds,Yellows, and Lady Amherst are pretty common around avaries. Now there are new color variations coming about. I still believe that there should be pure strains of Reds & Lady Amherst 's .These new variations are so breath taking in there plumage. We have Cinn, Cinn Splash,Peach, and Peach Splash. Still looking for the Silver Golden variety. I have seen also different color variations cross species. Meaning mixed with Reeves or Silver but remember that they will be beautiful in color but infertile so beware of some variations. Being also that these variations are still new they do not always breed true. Peach's will be in very limited supply but they others will be prentiful.
